I wish to extend immense thanks and gratitude for Kabelo's time while engaging with the Global Education Podcast Series at Felsted. Kabelo's insights, recommendations, thoughts and ideas are crucial to the development of Global Education initiatives for the sector, and listening to him speak about his work and research was nothing short of inspirational.
We are now at a critical point when it comes to considering programme and curriculum development for students all around the world, and Kabelo is a true thought leader when it comes to understanding the best route forward. I remain very grateful for Kabelo's time and deeply appreciative of his passion and enthusiasm in making the world a better place for the next generati
As educators, we seldom get an opportunity to discuss curriculum with confident, Black men who can meet students, educators, academic experts and parents at the same level of engagement.
Rev. Kabelo's contribution to the Black Consciousness Panel discussion hosted by the St Stithians Girls' College History Department laid a positive foundation for future colour brave conversations that remind us to live a life of self-determination and self-liberation with the pursuit to always find our humanity.
I believe his study of and insights about Steve Bantu Biko influenced curriculum development positively at St Stithians Girls College. Rev. Kabelo is a poised and charismatic speaker and panelist.
In 2021 we embarked on a journey of transformation and reconciliation and we enlisted the guidance and support of Ke Motho Consulting. Revd. Kabelo Motlhakane was instrumental in helping us navigate some difficult conversations, change existing policies and introduce a new Human Dignity Policy.
Kabelo went out of his way to understand how our school operates and guided us accordingly whilst allowing us to maintain our Ethos and Identity. Ke Motho is currently assisting us in looking at how best to understand and manage African Spirituality. Revd Kabelo does this from a position of authority, whilst understanding our religious affiliation.
I have had many conversations with Kabelo over the last two years and he has listened intently and has always been able to provide good working solutions and offer sage advice. I have chosen to continue this business relationship, due to the outstanding service and willingness to assist in making my school a better place.
The work of Transformation begs for practitioners to commit to answering a few questions that W.E.B Du Bois, articulated in the his chapter, Black strivings in a twilight civilization; How shall integrity do in the face oppression? What shall honesty do in the face of deception, decency in the face of insult, what shall virtue do, in the face of brute force? The forces against the work of Transformation comes in different forms.
Revd. Motlhakane has a natural flair for the work of Diversity and Transformation. He offers an approach that is grounded in his faith, commitment to the work and a desire to be on fire for justice in the creation of spaces of belonging. Revd. Motlhakane resembles the attitude of a Cornel West, who believes that we as a people have a moral obligation for the quality of human and protection of the environment – to be wise, especially about the pitfalls and shortcomings of mere intelligence and book knowledge.
